MEDIA RELEASE – For immediate release

Rowboy single launch at the Brunswick Hotel
Saturday 24 March 2018 / Free entry / Doors from 8pm
Supports: Pollen, Hi New Low, Lou Davies (support act details at bottom)

Rowboy is a new solo loop-device project musician Sparrow Daley, who won a Triple J Unearthed competition with his past group Grand Perceptor.
He spent much of 2017 on the East Coast of the US exploring musical ideas with friends and working on blending loop-sampling technology with his cathartic performance style.

He now uses an electric guitar and a loop sampling device to create a full flavoured psychedelic band experience. His idiosyncratic vocals deliver a lush lyrical journey of chants and story.

On Saturday 24 March Rowboy releases a new single, and will celebrate partying on down at the Brunswick Hotel with supports including Pollen, Hi New Low and Lou Davies.

Hi New Low
Hi New Low have been playing shows across the country and are back in town to perform their art-rock-pop on home turf, and entry is free. This five piece bring good vibes with a bright, angry attitude and lots of dark fun full of growling, howling, scissor sister harmonies and sweet improvisations.

On Saturday 24 March they’re joining Rowboy, Pollen and Lou Davies at the Brunswick Hotel.

Lou Davies
With his 3-piece band, Lou Davies is a 60’s inspired singer/songwriter blending sounds of psychedelic rock and garage rock to create what he likes to call slacker jangle pop. They released their debut EP titled Riverrock Ba in late 2018 and are hitting the venues to back it up.

On Saturday 24 March they’re joining Hi New Low, Pollen and Rowboy at the Brunswick Hotel.

After releasing their debut self titled EP at the start of 2017, Melbourne four piece Pollen have been playing a steady string of shows into the new year. The stoner psych band was primarily formed to chronicle the criminally under-reported, continuing adventures of The Beekeeper and his mutinous space bees. The stories are told using musical tones and textures so as to not discriminate against post sentient-psychonauts and Trilligaunts.

On Saturday 24 March, they play the Brunswick Hotel alongside Rowboy, Hi New Low and Lou Davies.
